This project involved the upgrade of the existing Waste Water Treatment Plant to increase its treatment capacity to 15,000PE by designing and constructing a third process stream plus additional sludge handling, treatment, storage and UV disinfection equipment.
The new works had to be carried out and incorporated into the existing plant on a phased basis without impacting on the plant operations. Vision Contracting Ltd were engaged by the EPS Group to carry out the civil structural and architectural and overall project management. The contract included the detailed design and construction of the new plant which included new reinforced concrete aeration, PFT and settlement tanks, underground services, full mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning, site infrastructure with final landscaping.

• Temporary works design involving cofferdam sheet pile solution
• Extensive dewatering as adjacent estuary & ground water table impacted by daily tidal changes.
