I started my journey with Vision Contracting as a Payroll Coordinator in 2023, and since then, I’ve never looked back. From the very beginning, I have felt well mentored in my role and have seen firsthand how senior management consistently goes above and beyond to support staff.

Since joining, my role has expanded in a very positive way, and I am continuously exposed to new aspects of the business. Through regular professional development meetings, I receive support to pursue further education, and the knowledge I gain is reinforced by the practical experience I gain each day. Most recently, I was promoted to Assistant Accountant, an exciting opportunity that has allowed me to grow further in my career.

While Vision Contracting is clearly an expanding company, the respectful culture that has been fostered over the years remains a cornerstone, making it an incredibly rewarding place to work.

I have been working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with Vision Contracting since 2016.
Throughout my time at Vision Contracting, I’ve been empowered to take initiative and trusted to work independently, with support and guidance always accessible when needed. Additionally, I’ve had numerous opportunities to advance and develop in my career over the years.
Throughout my career with Vision Contracting, I’ve been fortunate to encounter very little gender-based inequality, which speaks volumes about our culture. I have always felt supported, and in recent years, I have been granted the flexibility I need after becoming a first-time mother.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects across a wide range of sectors. I also enjoy collaborating with a team to bring a project to life, and there’s a great sense of satisfaction in being involved from start to finish.

As Head of Quality, BC(A)R, and Sustainability at Vision Contracting, my role is incredibly rewarding. I have the opportunity to drive change within the company and contribute to the sustainability transformation in construction.

My journey with Vision Contracting began as a graduate in late 2014, shortly after completing my MSc in Project Management. I started as an assistant project manager on our Apple European Headquarters project. Since then, Vision Contracting has supported my educational and professional development by presenting me with challenges and enabling me to pursue various degrees and leadership courses.

This support has allowed me to progress from a graduate to a senior management position. Vision Contracting is highly supportive of continuous professional development, offering college courses, training programs, and CPD opportunities to ensure that employees have the knowledge and tools they need to perform their daily tasks effectively.

Our company culture is a key reason I enjoy working at Vision. The company’s commitment to high standards and its genuine interest in both employees and customers—culminating in the achievement of Great Place to Work certification—is a true testament to our culture.

I completed a six-month student placement with Vision Contracting as part of my degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Munster Technological University in Cork. During my placement, I worked as a as a Student Building Services Engineer, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects across a variety of projects in Cork, Dublin, and Kildare.

What I particularly loved about this role was the ideal balance it offered between office-based and site-based work. The opportunity to travel to different sites and work together with a diverse range of team members from various disciplines all with a common goal was extremely rewarding.

The experience at Vision Contracting provided me with a broad and varied skill set. I was involved in problem-solving during the post-construction phase, finding solutions to real time problems on site as well as reviewing proposed design drawings to identify potential issues before they arose and everything else in between. Working closely with teams ranging from Civil Engineers to Project Managers really enhanced my understanding of the unique roles and responsibilities that each team member holds within the larger project framework. Overall, I found Vision Contracting to be an extremely supportive and accommodating company, which contributed significantly to the positive work environment within the company.

Completing my student placement with Vision Contracting has allowed me to enhance and build upon skills I’ve learned over the past 3 years of education. It has helped me to develop my negotiation and communication skills through working closely with project teams, sub-contractors, and clients. It is also nice to work with people who are so supportive in an environment that is respectful and welcoming.”

Since I started working with Vision Contracting as a Construction Management graduate in 2022, my experience has been incredibly fulfilling. The extensive and practical training I received right away gave me the technical know-how and managerial skills I needed to succeed. Senior management have been incredibly supportive, constantly supporting my professional development and offering advice when required. The company’s culture of cooperation and ongoing development has made it simple to fit in and make a meaningful contribution. I’m thankful for the chances Vision has given me to further my career and delighted to have advanced to the position of Senior Site Engineer.

I began working as a graduate EHS Advisor for Vision Contracting over 2 years ago and I can honestly say it’s been such a rewarding experience. While it’s a male-dominated industry, I have always felt supported and encouraged to pursue my career goals. Vision Contracting has created a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued. What I appreciate most is that Vision Contracting promotes a culture of teamwork and respect. My voice is always heard, and I’m given the opportunity to take on leadership roles, which has been incredibly rewarding. It’s been incredibly fulfilling to see my work come to life and contribute to the built environment. I have had the opportunity to work on large-scale projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and continuously grow my skill set through training and mentorship. My experience with Vision Contracting has been both deeply rewarding and pivotal to my professional development. After graduating with a BSc in Construction Management in May 2022, I began my career as a graduate engineer on a residential project, which involved delivering 77 high-end apartments. Through guidance from directors and collaboration with site engineers, quantity surveyors, and site management, I quickly recognised the opportunities for personal and career growth within the company.

Due to my willingness to learn and hard work, I was soon promoted to Project Engineer while simultaneously pursuing an MSc in Project Management. During this time, I had the privilege of working on a hotel project, which significantly broadened my experience, allowing me to engage in direct communication with clients, the design team, suppliers, and subcontractors. This role not only expanded my technical knowledge but also helped me build a robust professional network across the construction industry in Ireland and abroad.

After completing my MSc, I was promoted to Project Manager, where I now oversee multiple projects. Each one presents unique challenges, but the processes and teamwork remain constant. Vision Contracting has been instrumental in shaping my career, and I’m excited for the future, knowing that I have the company’s support and a clear path for continued growth.”

We have worked with Vision Contracting on a number of building and redevelopment projects in the Dublin area. Many of these projects involved city centre working and had unique construction challenges. Vision Contracting Ltd as main contractor and PSCS carried out extensive building and civil engineering works at the Ringaskiddy deep water terminal for the Port of Cork Company. The works were carried out in a busy live port environment with extensive commercial vehicle and cargo handling plant movements associated with the dock operations. I found Vision Contracting to be an excellent Contractor, committed, safe, flexible, and pro-active ensuring the successful and timely completion of the project. I would be happy to recommend Vision Construction for any similar projects.

We would like to thank Vision Contracting’s site team especially Contracts Director Mick Allen for his dedication and persistence in ensuring a building finish to the highest standards was achieved on 347 Upper Richmond Road, Putney. Mick was uncompromising in his attention to detail and the site team remained focussed on quality, budget and timely completion.

Vision’s pharmaceutical sector building experience has proved invaluable. Their ability to successfully address all changes and unforeseen challenges while adhering to schedule and budget was key to the project’s success.

The performance of Vision Contracting was exemplary in terms of schedule, quality, safety and cost control. The industrial gases upgrade works were complicated in nature and Vision’s input into design development and value engineering was of great assistance for the project.
