We were appointed Main Contractor and PSCS to execute the construction of a new ESB Substation and Switchgear building. The new building is located on a sloping site which had to be reduced and cut back. The excavation faces had to be temporarily supported during the construction of a retaining wall structure which also formed part of the external wall of the new building. The workscope also included linking the switchgear building to an existing substation located in adjoining facility.

• Works were carried out in live pharmaceutical environment
• Access had to be maintained to the facility during the course of the works
• Tie into existing Substation and liaising with the ESB
